About me
I hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry and a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a focus in Health Policy, Behavior and Finance. After attending medical school for a year, I left to continue pursuing an 18-year career in Clinical Trial Development across multiple therapeutic areas, within all trial phases, at small to large size Biotech, and also Pharma companies.
I have always been passionate about healthcare, preventative health and public health. I started volunteering at a hospital while I was in middle school, spent summers in college working in research labs and within hospital administration, and stood on the shoulders of the two generations before me to eventually attend medical school. However, I felt a different calling once I arrived that I wasn’t able to shake and I believed I could leave a bigger mark by leaving school. I’ve had the privilege to work for some of the most well known Biotech and Pharma companies alongside and with some of the brightest individuals in the industry, and celebrate the approval of some life changing treatments for patients (including and most notably in Women’s Health). I also gained the opportunity to advance my career and become an Industry Subject Matter Expert (SME).
After a collective 18 years in the industry, I felt a different calling emerge from within me. I wanted to have more of an impact on society. Health and preventing disease became a focus of mine. As a lifelong athlete, I place high value on health prevention and the access to it. I believe Health Technology, wearables and devices, 3D printing, clean water, and the research into these advancements will play a major role in the overall physical and mental health of our society, reduction in healthcare treatment costs, and longevity of individuals. It is not enough for only a few to have access, the ROI is only if we all do.
In September 2023, I launched full time into consulting with individuals, small businesses and work as an Associate at a Social Impact Angel Investment Firm. I am a lifelong learner and am currently advancing my own knowledge by pursuing AI coursework and understanding the potential application in the healthcare field.
